 This program is about a summer training opportunity....

As part of the Making Work Count 2010 program, we will place you in just the right summer training experience to help you earn money, learn new skills and chart a path on the way to a career choice.  We have trained and talented Career Specialists ready and waiting to assist you in the three steps to this plan.

Please note: We are placing 100 participants. After that number has been reached, there will be a waiting list. 

To determine your eligibility for this program, attend a paperwork session listed below:

Two Steps to get started: 

Step 1: Attend an information and application session
Bring the following documents to apply: 

1. Income information which could include ONE of the following: Notice of Action, Food Stamp Card and Medi-Cal Card and ALL house hold income for the past 30 days. You will need to bring a completed copy of the Eligibility Determination Form. Click here to download.
2. The household utility bill with in past 30 days to verify residency.
3. Birth Certificate for applicant and all children age 17 and younger in home.
4. Current photo identification which could include: a non expired Drivers License, DMV ID card,  Passport or School ID.
5. Applicants signed Social Security card.

  It is extremely important that you bring all mandatory items to meet eligibility requirements for participating in the program. Click here for a detailed break down of each of the above requirements.


Step 2: Upon approval,
attend an appointment to be oriented through the program and receive a referral to begin your training experience!

You will have the opportunity to work 40 hours a week between July 26th and September 25th.

    • Office Support
    • College Department Assistance
    • Landscaping
    • Warehouse
    • Maintenance/ Custodial
    • Water Sanitation
    • City Government

       



     

      Making Work Count 2010 will serve the following areas   in San Bernardino County:  Rancho Cucamonga, Fontana, Upland, Rialto, San Bernardino, Redlands, Highland, Lake Arrowhead, Crestline, Running Springs, Big Bear, Hesperia,  Victorville, Apple Valley, Barstow.
