TAD Vocational Training

LET'S GET IT STARTED!
Career Institute, in cooperation with industry-recognized training organizations and private employers, is excited to offer a program of short-term vocational training and paid work experience to individuals in the Transitional Assistance Department's (TAD) CalWorks program. 

GET TRAINED!
  • With TAD approval, we provide cutting-edge training at no cost to the student, in a wide array of disciplines. (see below). 
GET EXPERIENCE!
  • In addition to training, students will be placed into paid internships for up to 100 hours @ $9/hour, with local employers who will help them gain real-world experience in their chosen industry. 
GET THE TOOLS!
  • As part of the program, Career Institute's Mentoring staff will work with the students to obtain valuable job search and work readiness skills in the following areas: 
  1. Resume Preparation
  2. Job search techniques
  3. Mock Interviewing
  4. Online and In-person Applications
