Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)

This special program is for out of school youth between the ages of 18 and 24 who live in San Bernardino County and is funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). Each qualifying participant is assigned a Career Mentor who is their personal mentor and guide through the process of identifying a career path, obtaining life skills and certifications, job placement, and paid work experience. They also assist participants in enrolling in college and other post-secondary training programs.

After that step, fill out an Application Form below​.

A Career Mentor will contact you within 2-5 business days after you submit your application to set up a phone interview, followed by a face-to-face online interview.
Please prepare your career assessment results for the interview.

Life Skills Projects

As part of the WIOA Youth Program, all participants are required to complete the listed Life Skills Projects with the guidance of their Mentor and College & Career Specialist.

 

Each project is designed to aid in grasping valuable life skills that will help every student in their future. Topics range from academic, health, time management, etc.
